Campers looking to avoid the crowded campgrounds nearest Sandpoint might want to book a site at Blue Lake RV Resort. Situated about 30 miles north of Sandpoint, Blue Lake offers lakeside camping in a tranquil woodland setting. Rent an RV, tent, or cabin and spend your days on the lake reeling in catfish, trout, and bass. RV sites are big rig friendly and come with full or partial hookups that support max amp electricity. Amenities include bathrooms, laundry facilities, and an enclosed dog run so your pup can run wild. After a long day, sit back at the lakeside cocktail lounge and sip on a huckleberry mimosa.

The $5.00 online reservation is is non-refundable. Reservations cancelled within 1 week of arrival will incur 1 night fee of $25 as a penalty fee. Reservations cancelled within 2 days of arrival, and no-shows will not receive a refund. The RV Campground is closed as of October 15th, 2021 through April 15th, 2022 for the Winter Season.
Another well-equipped secluded campground along Lake Pend Oreille is Garfield Bay Campground. Surrounded by dense woodlands, this peaceful campground offers both tent and RV sites complete with picnic tables and fire rings. There are no hookups at this campground; however, there is fresh water available. With Lake Pend Oreille right on your doorstep, you’ll find plenty to do around camp, from hiking to fishing to kayaking. There’s also a boat launch in case you fancy exploring more of Idaho’s largest lake.

The quality and density of the grass may vary by season and location but this campground or RV park does have grass.
