The ebony magazine was very popular back in the early 90s when I was a teen. As such, I am quite familiar with many of the ebony magazines and I can tell you that there are some great ones out there.

I remember it being hard to find in 1989. That would have to be after the release of my novel.

Also, they are always barefoot. But if a magazine is written by black men, they are very often barefoot. The magazine also has a different style of writing than the traditional magazines that you see today.
